Dog Training

Sean Hyden Dog Trainer-min
  1. All bookings must be paid for in advance to secure the reservation.
  2. Once paid, refunds can be given in full for the session or package of sessions if the session or entire package is cancelled with more than 48 hours notice.
  3. Refunds cannot be given if the package has started.
  4. The full cost of the cancelled appointment will be charged if less than 48 hours notice is provided.
  5. If the cancellation relates to a training session within a block booking, then the booking will be reduced by a single session.
  6. The date and time of training session 1 is scheduled at the time of purchase of the chosen training package.    It is your responsibility  to book the remaining training sessions in the package.   But please note the following limits on the total permitted duration of the package:
    • For a 2 session package, the 2nd training session must be held within 1 calendar month of the first training session.
    • For a 3 session package, the 3rd training session must be held within 2 calendar months of the first training session.
    • For a 5 session package, the 5th training session must be held within 4 calendar months of the first training session.
  7. Any parking or congestion zone charges incurred for visits to clients premises to undertake training sessions are not included in the pricing and will be additionally invoiced after each training session. 
  8. Transfers to other parties or to other programmes is not permitted.
  9. Sean Hyden Dog Trainer cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury or damage to person or property.
  10. Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs when in public places. All dogs must be kept under control and on leash in public areas, (off leash only where specifically instructed by your instructor.) I am there to help but you are responsible for the conduct of your dog at all times.
  11. Children are very welcome to attend the training sessions – indeed they are often the best handlers! However, for the sake of safety and consistency in training, young people under the age of 16 MUST be with an adult at all times. Children who make a lot of noise or dash about can teach dogs to chase children! Parents might wish to sit down with their children before their training session to explain how important it is for them to listen and be involved.
  12. Please let me know if your dog is not in a fit state to train due to disease, injury or any other reason. All dogs should be wormed and fully protected by vaccination as advised by their Vet.

Dog Walking

  1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Sean Takes The Dogs Out terms and conditions (as laid out here).
  2. The client must provide all items necessary for the service (leads, collars, tags, food, medication etc).
  3. The client must provide Sean Takes The Dogs Out with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the dog(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available, Sean Takes The Dogs Out reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interest of the dog.   Sean Takes The Dogs Out will take your pet to the vet listed on the booking form, but if immediate treatment is needed then your put will be taken to the nearest vet to the location.
  4. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of Sean Takes The Dog Out.
  5. Sean Takes the Dogs Out must be alerted to any behavioural problem with the dog(s) at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future bookings.
  6. Although Sean Takes The Dogs Out has Public Liability insurance, where possible dogs should also be insured by the client.
  7. Sean Takes The Dogs Out will care for your animal as you would. We cannot, however, be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a dog whilst in our care.
  8. Payment
    • New Clients – Payment must be made in full (agreed at time of booking) prior to commencement of services.
    • Established Clients – Payment to be made within 7 days of receipt of invoices, via cash, cheque or bank transfer.
  9. For cancellations a notice of 24 hours is required. If the required notice is not given, charges will be applied in full for the cancelled period.
  10. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime.
  11. All dogs being walked will undergo a trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised.
  12. Sean Takes The Dogs Out reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time and with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker of the other dogs.
  13. The walker will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions, for the safety of both the dog(s) and the walker.
  14. If dogs require towelling down after a walk, towels must be provided and left by the front door.
  15. The client will supply suitable collars or harnesses and leads for the dog, and any coats or other accessories which the client wishes to be used.
  16. All dogs must wear a suitable collar containing an identification tag.

Data Policy

  1. I currently collect and process the following personal information:
    • Personal identifiers (Name, Email, Address, Mobile Phone Number)
  2. The personal information I process is provided to me directly by you for one of the following reasons:
    • To book some dog training classes delivered by my Training Services
    • To book dog walks delivered by my Walking Services
  3. I use the information that you have given me in order to:
    • Provide and operate my dog training and dog walking services.
    • Provide clients with ongoing customer assistance and support.
    • Provide clients and users with general or personalised service related notices and promotional messages.
    • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which I or my business partners may use to provide and improve respective services.
    • To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  4. I do not share this information with any other individuals or organisations.
  5. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are Your Consent and Contract.
  6. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting sean@seanhydendogtrainer.co.uk or contact@seantakesthedogsout.co.uk
  7. Your information is securely stored on cloud based computer systems that are used to administer my dog training and dog walking services.
  8. I keep personal information for 12 months after the completion of walking services, and 24 months after the completion of training services. I will then dispose of your information by purging relevant records from computer systems and deleting relevant files from storage.
  9. Under data protection law, you have rights including
    • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
    • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
    • Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
    • Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
    • Your right to withdraw consent – You have the the right to withdraw your consent of processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
    • Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to processing of your data for the purposes of direct marketing.
    • Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
