Hi, I'm Sean

I’ve owned dogs all my adult life – my current sidekick is a Labrador called Charlie.

I came to dog care after a career in teaching and a senior corporate role. It was during this time I started working with renowned pet behaviourist and international lecturer Sarah Whitehead to develop my expertise in dog training.

I love passing knowledge to other dog owners to help them build positive lifelong relationships with their pets. Dog training and behaviour is a vast subject, and I’m forever keen to keep learning and developing my skills. I continually collaborate with other trainers to discuss cases and build more specialised skills that help me support my clients and their dogs better.

See If I'm Right For You

It’s so important to find a trainer or walker that’s the perfect fit for you and your dog. That’s why I offer free 15-minute consultations. There’s no obligation with these calls, but they give us a chance to get to know each other.

You can ask all the questions you want and hearing a bit more about what you need help with means I can tell you exactly how I can help and what to expect if we work together.

It’s a chance for you to ask questions about my services and for me to find out what you’re looking for help with. I can talk you through my approach to dealing with those issues and give you an idea of what we could cover in sessions together.

Pavlov’s Dogs & Classical ConditioningWhen it comes to dog training, there are all sorts of different methods you can try, but one of the most successful has to be the concept of classical conditioning, something that you’ve probably already tried at home with your own dogs, perhaps without even realising that this is what you were doing.Read more over on Sean's blog: seanhydendogtrainer.co.uk/pavlovs-dogs-classical-conditioning/#pavlovsdogs #dogconditioning #dogtrainer #dogwalker
How Body Language Can Help With Dog TrainingAs we all know, it’s very important to make sure that training is high on the agenda when you get a new puppy, but it’s also something that should be ongoing throughout your dog’s life. The old adage that “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” certainly holds no currency and, in fact, dogs generally love learning, no matter how old they are.Read more over on Sean's blog: seanhydendogtrainer.co.uk/how-body-language-can-help-with-dog-training/#dogtraining #dogwalker
